It's great to see that the state has invested some money into the improvement of our interstate freeway system. The new signs and markers along I-15 through Davis and northern Salt Lake counties look very nice. They are state-of-the-art and are sure to last many years.

However, I find one flaw with them - a major flaw.I grew up in Bountiful. I know this area very well, i.e., the names of the cities and the freeway exits I must take to get to them. But let's suppose that I am new to this area. How am I supposed to find the city I wish to go to? The signs only say "2600 South" or "400 North" and so on. But 400 North where? Nothing indicates the name of the city. Is not the recognition of our community names important?

I understand that the work is not finished, but I sure hope that the state has not overlooked this (not) minor detail.Bruce OrchardOrem
