Utah State University has released the results of its fan poll to select the Utah State Football All-Century Team, which will be honored at the Hall of Fame banquet Friday, Oct. 29, at 7 p.m. in the Taggart Student Center Ballroom. The team will also be introduced during pregame ceremonies of the BYU-Utah State football game Oct. 30 in Logan.

BYU coach LaVell Edwards, who has to be in Romney Stadium that day anyway, heads the team. Edwards, who was also a center and quarterback and played 1949-51, was named one of two linebackers, along with Hal Garner from the 1980-84 era and Al Smith from the 1984-86 era Aggie teams.The rest of the team:

Offense: WR Kendal Smith (85-88)and Tom Forzani (70-72), OT Dave Kragthrope (51-54) and Len Rhode (57-59), C Ralph Maughan (41-42, 46-47), OG Jim Hough (74-77) and Dave Kuresa (81-84), TE Norvel Hansen (46-49), RB - Louie Giammona (73-75) and Kent Ryan (34-36) and QB Eric Hipple (76-79).

Defense: DL Merlin Olsen (59-61), Rulon Jones (76-79), Lionel Aldridge (60-62), Greg Kragen (80-83) and Phil Olsen (67-69), DB Patrick Allen (80-83), Donnie Henderson (78-79) and Chuck Detwiler (66-68).
