Federal pest-control officials will meet with local farmers to analyze the cricket and grasshopper problem in Sevier County. Utah State University extension agent Clyde Hurst said a vigilant effort last summer reduced cricket movement and egg-laying in the Sevier Valley. Officials will discuss their plans with area farmers for 1994 control programs.

City officials have set a public hearing on plans to improve sanitary waste disposal facilities with funding assistance from the community impact board through a grant or loan. City manager Woody Farnsworth said the proposed project will improve the existing sewer lines and collection system.
