A gunman apparently realized he was being naughty, not nice when he tried to rob Santa Claus over the weekend at a Sugar House parking lot.
Santa had been working Saturday at Nordstrom Rack, 2236 S. 1300 East. He was walking to his vehicle about 10 p.m. when a man wearing a ski mask walked up to him in the parking lot and pointed a gun at him, according to a Salt Lake police report. The gunman said, "Santa Claus, give me all your money."
"I don't have any money," Santa replied. "What are you going to do, rob Santa Claus?"
The would-be robber apparently thought twice about what he was doing and ran off empty-handed.
