Douglas Verdun Park was born on February 18, 1919, in Bingham Canyon, Utah, to Robert and Esther Shaw Park.

He peacefully left this earth at his home on Sunday, December 12, 1993, from natural causes. He was a multi-talented, gentle man who brought joy, happiness and love to all who knew him. He graduated from Murray High School. While in school, he lived with his Grandma and Grandpa Shaw and their children on a farm in Murray. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy from 1940 to 1946. September 22, 1952, he married Beverly Morganson. On September 4, 1981, retired from Trumps, Inc., where he was a sheet metal mechanic. He possessed creative, artistic, building and other talents that he willingly shared. He showed dedication and unconditional love as a husband, father, grandfather and friend.Survived by his wife, Beverly; and four children, Nancy Neilson; Randy; Mrs. Roger (Marsha) Turner; and Steve; a sister, Eleanor Hatch, and a special borther-in-law, Delbert Morganson; five grandsons. Preceded in death by parents, a brother, Bobby, and a stepfather, Deloy B. Woodhead.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 17, 1993, at 1 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State St., where friends may call Thursday 6-8 p.m. and Friday 12-12:45 p.m.

Interment: Elysian Burial Gardens.
