Jean Whitton was blessed to leave this life in the twinkling of an eye on December 11, 1993.

She will be sorely missed by her sisters, Helen Christensen, Margaret Whitton, Mary Robinson and husband, Burton, Alison Reeder and husband Grant, Eluned Stanton and husband Wayne; and brother, Ian Whitton, and numerous nieces and nephews.Jean was born in Rangoon, Burma on January 13, 1911. She was the first child of John and Annie Elizabeth Badelier Whitton. They moved to Perth, Western Australia when she was seven years old. The family joined the LDS Church in 1924. Jean immigrated to Canada in 1948 and then on to the USA in 1951. She filled two missions to England-one in 1953 and another to the London Temple in 1986. Jean was the family genealogist and really enjoyed researching her ancestors. She retired in 1981 from St. Mark's Hospital, where she worked in the lab for many years. Jean was a cheerful, pleasant, upbeat person who loved to read and loved to learn. She had a great mind and could always remember facts she had learned previously. A great reunion in the next life is being enjoyed by her now. Those of us left here will surely miss her.
