Utah County will celebrate this Christmas season with events ranging from concerts to feasts and other activities.

- "The Story of Christmas", a live Christmas Nativity presented by Provo Utah LDS stakes in conjunction with the Festival of Christmas, will be held at the Provo Tabernacle Park at 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, Dec. 15-18, and Monday through Thursday, Dec. 20-23. It is free to the public. A cast of 19 performers and a chorus of more than 25 voices will portray the scenes of the Nativity with familiar Christmas carols adding to the production.
- The Atrium of the Provo Town Square invites residents to visit Santa Monday through Friday through Dec. 23, 2-6 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Visits are free.
Thursday, Dec. 16
- Peteetneet Playhouse, 600 E. Utah Ave., Payson, presents comedy sketches, song parodies, musical medleys and sing-alongs beginning at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $3 and available at the door.
- The Utah Valley Choral Society will present a concert of Christmas music by contemporary British composer John Rutter at 8 p.m. in the Provo Tabernacle. Admission is $3.50, students and senior citizens $2 and families $10. Tickets may be purchased at Keith Jorgensen's in Orem or at the door.
Sunday, Dec. 19
- The Las Posadas Procession will be celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Parish in Provo at 1:30 p.m. The procession recounts the trouble Mary and Joseph had finding a place to rest in Bethlehem before the birth of Jesus. The public is invited.
Tuesday, Dec. 21
- The Orem Community Church, 140 N. 400 East, will present its annual Live Nativity Tuesday through Thursday, Dec. 21-23, from 7 to 9 p.m. The public is invited to drive by or stop and enjoy the spirit of Christmas. Admission is free.
Friday, Dec. 24
- The public is invited to join in the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 172 N. 500 West, Provo. The Vigil Mass will be celebrated at 5:30 p.m. The traditional Midnight Mass will be celebrated twice, once at 9:30 p.m. and again at 11:30 p.m. The 5:30 and 11:30 p.m. Masses will be bilingual.
Saturday, Dec. 25
- The public is invited to a Christmas Day Mass at St. Francis of Assisi Church. The 9:30 a.m. Mass will be in English and the 11:30 a.m. in Spanish. The Franciscans from St. Francis will also celebrate a Christmas Mass in Spanish at San Isidro Church in Elberta at 7 p.m. There is no Saturday 5:30 p.m. Mass.
Sunday, Dec. 26
- The public is invited to attend the celebration of The Feast of the Holy Family with Mass at St. Francis of Assisi Church. Mass will be held at 8 and 9:30 a.m. in English, and 11:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. in Spanish.
