FIRST SECURITY BANK TO BUY AMERICAN BANK

First Security Bank of Idaho, a subsidiary of Salt Lake-based First Security Corp., has ageed to acquire American Bank of Commerce based here.

The four offices of American Bank in the Boise area will become branches of First Security Bank of Idaho.Founded in 1977, American Bank of Commerce, which specializes in lending to small businesses, has deposits of $55.4 million and total assets of $69.1 million. It was rated by the Small Business Administration as the No. 1 SBA loan producer in Idaho and is among the top 25 producers nationwide.
