Palestinian schoolchildren hold hands and stay close to a closed store front Tuesday as they pass an Israeli soldier who is part of a patrol in central Gaza City. Widespread unrest erupted Tuesday for the second day after the `Gaza-Jericho First" peace accord's implementation was delayed. On Wednesday, Palestinian exiles pulled down their tents in southern Lebanon and began their journey home, ending a yearlong ordeal that at one time threatened the Mideast peace process. Seven buses, their windows whitewashed and only soldiers in flak jackets and helmets visible on board, crossed into Israel bearing the exiled militants. The buses will diverge as they head south, with the returnees taken to various prisons. Releases are expected to start Saturday.
