The Utah women's basketball team kept pace with undefeated Oregon State in the first half but threw the game away after the break and finished on the losing end of a 66-42 score. Utah, which saw its two-game win streak halted in the rout, turned the ball over 32 times, leading to numerous OSU uncontested layups.
The Utes shot themselves in the foot in the shooting department as well, scoring just 18 second-half points after trailing by just one (25-24) at the break. Tanja Kostic scored 21 points, Anette Mollerstrom had 15 and Kristina Lelas chipped in 13 rebounds to lead OSU to its fifth win in as many games. Kim Hill and Richelle Seamons scored 12 and 10 points, respectively, for the Utes, who shot an atrocious 21 percent from the floor as a team.
