Mary Ellen Morgan Scoffield, 91, passed away, December 14, 1993 at St. Benedict's Hospital of causes incident to age.

She was born April 28, 1902 in Layton, Utah, a daughter of E.T. and Katy Pilling Morgan. She married George Merrill Scoffield January 9, 1926 in Salt Lake City, Utah; solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple January 30, 1941.She lived in Layton prior to moving to Kaysville in 1941. She worked as a seamstress for civil service and was a member and officer in the Retired Federal Employees Association.

She was a member of the Kaysville 13th Ward. She served as a Sunday School teacher and in the Primary presidency.

Surviving are three sons and two daughters, Nate Scoffield, Clinton; Cal Scoffield, Tremonton; Bryce Scoffield, Mona; Pat S. Smith, Kaysville; Meryln S. Scott, Oregon; 26 grandchildren; 63 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 17, 1993 11 a.m., at Lindquists Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main, where friends may call Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and Friday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
