People who are selling homes in California are making a killing in Utah. They have tripled their profits and live like kings in our hometown. That's fine.
But the one thing that is becoming intolerable, that was brought to Utah with the crowds of people, is the uncontrollable and unbelievable traffic. Even that situation we can grow accustomed to, but please, get your foot off the gas.Mixing cultures of any kind has always had its drawbacks, and Utahns have had their moments. We are known for our foot on the gas pedal, but cutting people off, keeping up speed in the rain and snow, never letting a foot off the brake in a slide? Those have never been a weak spot for Utahns.
When Californians move to Utah, they should learn to drive in the snow.
And, until they are totally broken into the surroundings, they should just slow down. I have never been so afraid to drive in the snow. I am not afraid of the snow, but the bumper-to-bumper traffic that is cruising along like a train ready to jump the track. Slow down and welcome to Utah.
