Henry Hewitt Wight, 97, died December 13, 1993 at his home.
Born January 16, 1896 in Brigham City, Utah, to Henry and Ella Jensen Wight. Married Edith Brown, June 9, 1920 in Bennion, Utah. Marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died Nov. 25, 1966.Active member of the LDS Church. Served as High Priest group leader, High Priest teacher, and temple worker. Served during World War I, where he fought in the battle of the Argon Forest. Retired from Kennecott Copper Corp.
Survived by children, Glenn (Azarm), Betty (Leonard) Bowne, and LaRae (Wayne) Jones; 13 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren; brother, Blaine Wight. Preceded in death by daughter, Norma Hymas, six brothers and sisters and two grandsons.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, 12 noon at the Pleasant Green 4th Ward, 3084 South 8400 West. Friends may call Friday 6-8 p.m. at the Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 South, Magna, and Saturday 11-11:45 a.m. at the church. Interment: Taylorsville Memorial Park.
