Rono DeValson Garff, age 84, passed away peacefully December 15, 1993, in Sandy, Utah.

Born January 1, 1909, in Millcreek, Utah, to Heber Nels and Louise Murphy Garff. He married Mary Jean Hartmann on April, 18, 1931, in Nephi, Utah; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She preceded him in death on June 10, 1947. He married Blanche DeGraffenried on April 21, 1948 in Elko, Nevada; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Active member of the LDS Church served in many positions including an LDS mission to Enid, Oklahoma.Enjoyed music and was a member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir for 30 years, and sang with the Salt Lake Orpheus Club. He also enjoyed the out-of-doors and spending time with his family.

Survived by his wife, Blanche; three sons and two daughters, Valorie (husband Verl J.) Cox, Ronald H. (wife Rachel A.) Garff, J. Robert (wife Penny) Garff, Annette G. (husband Don) Earl, all from Salt Lake City; and Franklin D. (wife Mae) Garff, of Sterling, Alaska; 22 grandchildren; and 45 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by two great-grandchildren; three brothers; and three sisters.

Funeral services will be Saturday, December 18, 12 noon, at the Holladay 11th Ward, 2065 East 4675 So. Friends may call Friday, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Holbrook Funeral Chapel, 3251 So. 2300 East, and at the church on Saturday for one hour prior to the services.

Interment: Elysian Burial Gardens.
