A group that helps to finance its promotion of the United Nations by issuing first-day covers of United Nations stamps has completed a father-to-son cycle by having Lorenzo Quinn, an artist and actor, design the cachet on one issue.

Anthony Quinn - the artist, actor and Lorenzo's father - designed a similar cachet for a Human Rights issue in 1988.The cachet, "Tree of Life," shows a barren, somewhat surrealist landscape dominated by a pair of praying hands that are mimicked in shape by a tree in the background.

"Tree of Life" is one of 12 new stamp designs reflecting the interplay between climate and the environment. The design is also available in 750 8 1/2-by-11-inch signed prints.
