Salt Lake Golden Eagles left wing Brent Grieve has been traded by the parent New York Islanders to the Edmonton Oilers in exchange for minor league defenseman Marc Laforge.

Grieve, who has played in 22 games with the Eagles this season (9 goals, 5 assists, 14 points) will head for Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, while Laforge, who has appeared in 14 games with Cape Breton (AHL) will report to the Golden Eagles tonight.
