A 16-year-old Ogden youth has pleaded guilty to allegations he opened fire on police when they caught him taking stereo speakers from trucks.

Joseph Jones was charged as an adult. He pleaded guilty in 2nd District Court to attempted murder, a second-degree felony reduced in a plea bargain from first-degree felony attempted aggravated murder. He also pleaded guilty to two counts each of third-degree felony theft and class A misdemeanor burglary of a vehicle.Sentencing was set for Jan. 5.
