Santa Claus reads letters from his new home in Kissimmee, Fla., where he relocated to escape the cold winters of Utah. Born Winifred Eugene Holley, he legally changed his name in 1991. He carefully reads all Christmas-related correspondence and hands out good cheer and candy canes whenever the urge strikes him. He really did love Utah, he says, but when you get to be as old as he is, your poor body just can't tolerate the ravages of winter. He has been unwilling to release his secret for enduring his long, long Christmas Eve flight.
