Our mother, grandmother and great-great-grandmother, Louvinia Carn Burrows, age 93, went home to be with the Lord on December 15, 1993.
She was born January 16, 1900 in Millcreek, Utah to Alfred Carn and Sarah Phillips Carn. She married David Elmer Burrows on July 23, 1917, solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple, November 16, 1943.She lived a full, rich life and will always be remembered for her faith, her strength and courage as she met the demands of life providing for her 14 children (nine during the "Great Depression"). She loved people as demonstrated by her 30 years of taking tickets at the "Friendly Club" Friday night dances (she learned to dance when she was 55, that takes courage) also by her years of services as a volunteer for Salt Lake Aging Services, playing in two Harmonica bands, Salt Lake City and Murray City until age 87. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Jefferson Ward. Where she served in Primary and Relief Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband and three sons, Eldon W., Dee Lamar and Thomas Kent Burrows.
She is survived by sons, Chester E. (Ada Marshall), A. Kay (Judy), both of Salt Lake City; W. Verneal (Leah), Leon D. (Barbara), both of Bountiful; daughters, Afton (Mrs. Stan) Harperof, Littleton, Col.; Doris (Mrs. Vaughn C.) Gee; Luana (Mrs. Robert E.) Christiansen; L. Blanche Burrows; Merlyn (S. Lyn Grimaud), all of Salt Lake City; Irene (Mrs. Milton) Mirades, Burlingame Hills, Calif.; Marian (Mrs. Richard) Mendonca, San Bruno, Calif.; daughter-in-law, Georgia Draper; sister-in-law, Merle (Lewis) Burrows; 49 grandchildren; 105 great-grandchildren; 25 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Dec. 20th at 11 a.m., Jefferson Ward, Temple View Stake, 1883 So. West Temple. Friends may call Sunday 6-8 p.m., Memorial Estates Mortuary, 5850 So. 900 East and Monday one hour prior at the church. Interment Elysian Burial Gardens. Under the direction of Memorial Estates Mortuary.
