A transient man was arrested Thursday as he walked out the door of a South Salt Lake credit union after it was robbed.

A man told a teller at Credit Union One, 3226 S. Main, that he had a gun and demanded money. Police were tipped off to the robbery and had set up a perimeter when the man emerged from credit union about 3:43 p.m., said South Salt Lake detective Diana Hollis.South Salt Lake officers Rick Row, Todd Hendrix and Dustin Hansen and Sgt. Tom Keskey participated in apprehending the man, 45, Hollis said. He was taken to the Salt Lake County Jail.
