Mountain View ran its record to 4-0 with a 56-30 victory over Roy Thursday. It was a game that Mountain View took control of from the start and used good shooting to keep its lead.

The Bruins shot 55 percent from the field, led by Brandi Daniels' 19 points. Teammates Karlene Callas and Michelle Riffle each tossed in 13 points.Roy (3-5) had a tough shooting night, connecting on just 14 attempts on the night. Katie Haws paced the Royals with 13 points.

Orem 55, Viewmont 52 OT

At Viewmont, the Tigers were had by the tail but escaped with an overtime win over the Vikings. Orem (6-1) almost lost its second in a row but came from behind in the fourth quarter to send the game into the extra session. Sherelle Vanderwell and Angie Haw led the Tigers with 13 points apiece. Viewmont fell to 1-7 with the loss.

Dugway 40, West Desert 36

At Dugway, the Mustangs jumped out to a big lead and then hung on to defeat the Hawks. Senior Stacy Smith scored 20 points for Dugway (4-1, 3-1) which galloped to a 21-4 halftime lead.

Clearfield 53, Bountiful 49

At Clearfield, the Falcons continued their successful preseason with a win over the Braves. Clearfield improved its record to 6-1 overall.

Granger 40, Olympus 31

At Olympus, the Lancers bounced back from a poor showing against Skyline on Tuesday to down the Titans on the road. Granger improved to 3-4 overall while Olympus fell to 1-5.

Rowland Hall 51, Park City 34

At Park City, Anne Leppert's 18 points led the Winged Lions over the Miners. Alli Miller and Megan Williams each added 13 points for Rowland Hall (6-1, 4-1).

South Sevier 53, North Sevier 51

At South Sevier, Sharie Nielson led a balanced scoring attack by the Wolves. Nielson scored 12 points for South Sevier (3-2, 1-1) which hit clutch free throws down the stretch to seal the victory. Becky Hales led all scorers with 23 points in a losing effort for North Sevier (2-1, 1-1).

West Jordan 59, East 48

At East, the Jaguars jumped out to a lead and then used a four-corners game down the stretch in a win over the Leopards. An aggressive defense helped West Jordan (5-2) grab a 17-10 lead at the end of the first quarter, which it never relinquised. Suni Robinson led the Jaguars with 16 points while Amy Hale led East (2-4) with 19.

Jordan 51, Cottonwood 38

At Jordan, the Beetdiggers (3-0) held an 11 point lead at the end of the first quarter and Cottonwood (2-5) never got closer than nine the rest of the way. Debbie Bilbao led the Beetdiggers with 14 points while teammate Kristi Horrocks added 12.

American Fork 76, Skyline 45

At American Fork, Julie Krommenhoek tossed in 26 points for the Cavemen (8-0) while teammate Tori Allen added 16. Skyline (3-4) stayed close in the first half but was outscored by 20 i the final two quarters.

Box Elder 69, Tooele 39

At Box Elder, the Bees used a stinging defense to grab a win over the Buffaloes. Box Elder (4-2) collected 28 steals for the game and was led in scoring by Laura Baird with 19 points. Tooele fell to 0-7 with the loss.

Hunter 42, Hillcrest 39

At Hunter, a three-point play in the final minute of the game gave the Wolverines a tough win over the Huskies. April Watt led a balanced scoring effort by Hunter (5-2) with eight points. Heather Hoffman scored 12 in another hard-luck loss for Hillcrest (3-4).

West 54, Lehi 51

At Lehi, the Panthers used clutch free throw shooting down the stretch to knock off the Pioneers. Danel Yazzie and Camille Cowley combined for 30 points to lead West (2-4) to its second-straight win. Missy Brown led Lehi (3-4) with 16 points.
