A stolen inbounds pass in the final seconds was the difference for Bingham as the Miners traveled to Utah County and came away with a 61-60 victory over American Fork.
The Miners and the Cavemen played neck-and-neck the whole contest as the game was tied after each of the first three quarters.Bingham's John Kemp put the Miners up by two with 18 seconds left and the Cavemen thought they had a chance for a tie or the win with a bucket at the other end. The Miners' Clint Larson had other ideas as he stole the inbounds pass and converted a layup to give Bingham an insurmountable 61-57 lead.
Jason Ingersoll's three-point shot at the buzzer was inconsequential for the Cavemen.
Larson paced the Miners with 16 points while Quynn Tebbs chipped in 14. Ingersoll paced the Cavemen with 14.
