Christmastime brings music from all,

From the church to the shopping mall,Carols ringing, choirs singing

Now at Abravanel Hall.

Oh-ohhh,

Concert noble, concert fine,

With the symphony divine

Often sumptuous,

Even scrumptious,

Following Silverstein.

Friday he pulled out all the stops,

"Adeste Fideles" a la the Pops.

Then came "Greensleeves,"

Where the flute weaves

Vaughan Williams magic, the tops.

Oh-ohhh,

Concert noble, concert fine,

With the symphony divine

Treading lightly

Yet still brightly,

Following Silverstein.

Next Corelli, plush as can be,

His "Christmas Concerto" under the tree.

Concerto grosso

Piu mosso,

With enough sound for three.

Oh-ohhh,

Concert noble, concert fine,

With the symphony divine

Big but stylish,

Extra-mile-ish,

Following Silverstein.

"We Three Kings" continued the flow

In the Jay Welch setting we know,

Sentimental,

Oriental

But here a bit too slow.

Oh-ohhh,

Concert noble, concert fine,

With the symphony divine

Well-intended

But extended,

Following Silverstein.

Each year kids perform from afar.

Friday Rosalie Lund was the star.

Her Sibelius

Didn't fail us,

With violin tone up to par.

Oh-ohhh,

Concert noble, concert fine,

With the symphony divine

Outward chilling,

Inward thrilling,

Following Silverstein.

American Fork provided the choir

For three carols, then from "Messiah"

"Hallelujah"

Went right through ya.

Lois Johnson lit the fire.

Oh-ohhh,

Concert noble, concert fine,

With the symphony divine

Earlier raggin'

Carmen Dragon,

Following Silverstein.

A sing-along brought out the light side,

With "Jingle Bell Rock" along for the ride.

Chestnuts roasting,

Fire toasting,

We "Let It Snow" outside.

Oh-ohhh,

Concert noble, concert fine,

With the symphony divine

Tempos swinging,

The audience winging,

Following Silverstein.

Santa showed for the final song,

Cracking jokes that deserved a gong.

Then came "Sleigh Ride,"

Here a gay ride,

For a heartfelt "So long!"

Oh-ohhh,

Concert noble, concert fine,
