One man was arrested and police are looking for two others after a couple reported being assaulted and robbed in their Salt Lake home.
The couple said two men knocked on the door early Friday morning. The man told police he answered the door, after which the two men forced their way into the house. Both men were armed, one with a rifle and one with a pair of scissors and a knife, a Salt Lake City police report said. The men demanded money and swung both the knife and the scissors at the man, cutting his left calf, according to the report.
The man told police he gave them a $20 bill he had hidden in his sock. When the two men began demanding drugs and more money, the woman stepped between the suspects and the man, the report said.
The man escaped by jumping through a front window. He returned when police arrived and told them he knew who the intruders were. Police later found the driver of the vehicle, who didn't enter the house during the attack, and arrested him, the report said.
