U.S. Ski Team member Anna Parisien made a first-run lead stand up Saturday to win a North American Championship Series giant slalom at Mont Garceau Ski Area.

Parisien, of Sugarloaf, Maine, covered the 38-gate first run in 54.70 seconds and had a total time of 1 minute, 46.22 seconds.Megan Bisset of Canada was second in 1:47.11 with reigning NorAm GS champion Shannon Nobis of Park City, Utah, third in the field of 61. Nobis, who won four medals, including two gold, in the 1993 World University Games in Bulgaria, had a time of 1:47.39.
