John Cleo Cowley (Jack), cherished husband, loving father, died December 17, 1993 at age 86.
Born September 19, 1907 to Richard Austin and Mary Jane Gull Cowley.Married Phyllis Nisonger November 27, 1931 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Employed for 35 years with the Denver & RioGrande Railroad as an electrician helper and crane operator, retiring in September 1972.
He was on the committee for the clerks credit union, secretary and treasurer and past president of the Denver and Rio Grande Veterans Club #1.
Survived by wife, Phyllis Nisonger; two sons: Dean and wife Sandra Swaner, Richard N. and wife Julie Gale; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and brother, Ivan E. Cowley.
Preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Cleo Jeanine; two brothers, Eldon and George; five sisters, Ella, Charlotte, Irene, Amelia, and Melva.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 21, 10 a.m. at Deseret Mortuary, 36 East 700 South, where friends may call Monday, December 20, 6-8 p.m. and from 9-10 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
