Van Neldon Lybbert, 83, died December 17, 1993 at his home. Van has returned home to be with his Heavenly Father.

Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend was born June 22, 1910 in Vernal, Utah to Waldamar C. and Dora Darnell Lybbert. His family moved to Glenwood, Alberta where he grew up and was raised with five brothers and five sisters. As a young man, Van was called to serve in the Southern States Mission. He married Evelyn Low in the Cardston Alberta LDS Temple on March 27, 1946.Van always enjoyed a good laugh and he never turned down a chance to play a joke. He was loved and respected by others for his kindness and inspiration. Van spent many years in church service including stake patriarch and temple sealer. He and Evelyn served missions in Switzerland and Washington, DC. His kindness will be remembered and cherished.

Survived by his wife, Evelyn, of Sandy; children, Jim and Evonne Adamson, Moab; Jim and Rita Moss, Rigby, Idaho; Evert and Marilyn Byington, Washington, DC; Don and Joan Lybbert, Redmond, Wash.; Mike and Myrna Richards, South Jordan; Doran and Kelly Lybbert, Sandy; Sid and Eva Keller, Mitch and Lorrie Hibbard, all of Honeyville; and Alan and Jackie Johnson, Riverton; 65 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also survived by three brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 21, at 11 a.m. at the Willow Canyon 1st Ward, 9636 South 1700 East, where friends may visit Monday, 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services Tuesday. Interment, Sunset Gardens. Funeral directors, Broomhead Funeral Home, Riverton.
