Anthony (Tony) Strelich, age 80, beloved father, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend died December 16, 1993 in Salt Lake City, Utah of congestive heart failure.
He was born June 21, 1913 in Highlandboy, Bingham Canyon, Utah, the son of Anton and Katherine Zupan Strilich.In his younger years he was an outstanding athlete and musician. He married Dorothy Terry on November 22, 1939, she passed away October 1, 1992. Tony was a conductor with the U.P.R.R., he retired after 42 years of service in 1982. He loved to take pictures and tell stories.
Survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and wife, Kathleen of Logan, Utah; Frank and wife, Kaye, Tim and wife, Laurie, Pat, Mike, all Salt Lake City; brother, George, Bakersfield, Calif.; sisters, Mary Kirkendall, Ann Damjanovich, both Midvale. He will be dearly missed by his loving grandchildren, Jessica, Katie, Erik, Page, Brook and Justin and also many nieces and nephews.
Member of the Catholic Church, Our Lady of Lourdes Parish.
"You are not forgotten dearest Tony, nor will you ever be. As long as life and memory last we will remember thee. We miss you now, our hearts are sore as time goes by, we miss you more, your loving smile, your gentle face no one could every fill your place."
Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, Dec. 21, 1993, 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 670 South 1100 East. Vigil service will be held Mon., 7 p.m., at the Neil O'Donnell & Sons Mortuary, 372 East 100 South, where friends may call Monday 6-7 p.m. Committal: Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 4th Avenue and "T" Street.
