Bill Anderson picked one line to sum up his 30 years in the country music business: "I Hope You're Living as High on the Hog as the Pig You Turned Out to Be."
That's the title of Anderson's new book of amusing tales and poignant moments. His autobiography, "Whisperin' Bill," was published in 1989."I don't think there's been a book about country music behind the scenes - the warm, funny side," said Anderson, 56, who has performed regularly on the Grand Ole Opry since 1961. His best known songs include "Still" and "City Lights."
Country music is known for outrageous song titles such as "You're the Reason Our Kids Are Ugly" and "If I Said You Had a Beautiful Body, Would You Hold It Against Me?"
Anderson's book got its name from an unrecorded song he once came across.
