Dean Albert Mecham, 80, died December 17, 1993 in St. George, Utah.
He was born December 30, 1912 in Upalco, Utah, a son of Ephraim William and Sarah Lenora Williams Mecham. He married Katherine Marie Allred June 8, 1939 in Vernal, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died January 5, 1987.Dean was an active member of the LDS Church and loved the out-of-doors.
He is survived by his children, Mrs. Richard (Kay Dean) Santi, St. George, Utah; Max Grant Mecham, Vernal, Utah; and Ted Rex Mecham, Midvale, Utah; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Ramah (Eva) Earnshaw, West Valley, Utah.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 22, 1993, 11 a.m., Vernal 3rd Ward Chapel. Friends may call at Thomson's Vernal Mortuary Tuesday, 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday, 9:30-10:30 a.m. Burial in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery with full Military Honors by the American Legion.
