Freda George Christensen, 97, our loved and respected mother and grandmother, died December 18, 1993 at the Fillmore Hospital.
Born November 16, 1896 in Kanosh, Utah to LeRoy and Henrietta Black George. She resided in Kanosh her entire life where she was an active member and served in the auxiliary organizations of the LDS Church. She married Charles Emery Christensen; the marriage was later solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple. He died January 23, 1944.She is survived by the following children: Virge (and Beverly), Reveau (and Ward) Newby, Vernon (and Alice), all of Kanosh; Leah (and Ralph) Robinson, Flowell; Arlene (and Hugh) McNamar, Concord, Calif.; 21 grandchildren, 61 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren.
She was a devoted mother who dedicated her life to her family and their welfare.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 22, 11 a.m. in the Kanosh LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call Wednesday, 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Burial, Kanosh Cemetery under the direction of Olpin Mortuary.
