Franklin Harrison Hayes, 84, passed away Sunday, December 19, 1993 at the Apple Tree Retirement home in Kaysville.
He was born July 28, 1909 in Bountiful, Utah, a son of Ernest A. and Francis A. Harrison Hayes. He married Marian P. May June 4, 1930 in Salt Lake City, Utah; their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.He lived most of his life in Bountiful, from 1936 to 1942, he lived in Washington, and the past year in Kaysville. He was a member of the LDS Church.
He spent his early life farming. Worked at Hill Air Force Base from 1942-1945 and became a branch chief of Packaging Control. He spent the remainder of his life as a building contractor. He built many homes and commercial buildings in Bountiful and in Salt Lake City and Ogden.
Surviving are one son and his wife, James F. and June Hayes, Kaysville; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; one brother and one sister, Mark Hayes, and Eva Arrington, both of St. George.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m., at Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary, 727 North 400 East, Bountiful. Friends may call at the mortuary Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday morning, from 9:45-10:45 a.m.
Interment, Bountiful City Cemetery.
