The Liberace Foundation for the Performing and Creative Arts announced it will make scholarship grants to 59 schools, universities and organizations for the 1993-94 academic year.

A spokesman for the nonprofit foundation, created by the late entertainer in 1976, said this year's grants constitute the largest in its history with a total of $365,000 being disbursed.Awards are made for scholars in theater, dance, music, costume design, fine art and filmmaking.
