Clarence Charles Jackson, age 85, passed away quietly at home on Sunday, December 19, 1993.

Born September 21, 1908 in Salt Lake City to Samuel Edward and May Hill Jackson. Married Luella Shaw in the Salt Lake LDS Temple June 25, 1930. He was very active in the LDS Church, serving as a Sunday school teacher and superintendent. Active in Boy Scouts.Clarence and Luella served an LDS mission in the Florida mission in 1963. They were very active in the "Good Sam Club." He was an avid sportsman, enjoying fishing and hunting. He played football as a youth for Granite High School. Clarence loved his wife to the very end and enjoyed his children and grandchildren who were the light of his life.

Survived by his wife; son, Dr. Gerald C. and wife Teresa of Reno, Nevada; daughter, Merle J. and husband David T. Strong of Salt Lake City; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; sister, Ruth and husband Robert Wagstaff of Salt Lake City; bother, William and wife Zelma of Oklahoma; sisters-in-law, Mrs. Alma (Rene) Jackson and Mrs. Shirley "Turk" (Clara) Jackson.

Preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Edward B., Alma, and Shirley; and a sister, Lila M.

Funeral services Wednesday, December 22, 1993, at 11 a.m. at the Cottonwood 8th Ward, 6301 South 2300 East. Friends may call Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary, 2350 East 1300 South, and Wednesday one hour prior to services at the ward. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery.
