The 1993 top taxpayers and their assessed valuation (in order) include: Smith's Food & Drug Centers, $44,456,360; Cambridge Properties (Layton Hills Mall), $21,650,080; US WEST Communications (telephone utilities), $14,351,170; Pacificorp/Utah Power (electric utilities), $11,450,280; Humana Hospital Inc. (now Davis Hospital and Medical Center), $11,023,820; Mountain Fuel Supply (natural gas utilities), $9,852,430; Quail Cove Associates (apartments), $6,115,680; Layton Meadows Associates (apartments), $5,148,290; Deseret Mutual Benefits Association (real estate), $3,944,760; ShopKo, $3,547,490.
