Layton LeRoy Goff, 66, of Ely, Nevada passed away December 17, 1993 at his home.
Born January 29, 1927 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Layton and Violet Fausett Goff. He married Joy D. Erickson May 24, 1947 in Heber City, Utah; marriage was later solemnized in the Washington, D.C. LDS Temple on October 14, 1978.He was a 15-year resident of White Pine County, an underground miner, member of the Ely First LDS Ward, and member of the 11th Airbourn Association, US Army World War II. He loved golfing, bowling, photography and music.
Surviving are his wife, Joy; sons, Ray and Richard, all of Ely; daughter, Brenda Gillespie of Ruth, Nev.; 15 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; brothers, Ralph, Sr. of McGill, Nev.; Ronald of Fresno, Calif.; Arthur "Itch" and Robert E., both of Ely; sisters, Geraldine Vest, Donna Mae Langford, both of Sandy; Betty Lou Perkins of Elko, Nev.; Evelyn Louise Yates of Centerville, Utah; numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by brother, Maynard, and sister, Willidine Horrocks.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 22, 1993, 3 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 South Redwood Road. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates.
