Margaret Elizabeth Spurgeon McKeever died December 18, 1993 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

She was born in Rushville, Indiana on December 8, 1906. She was a basketball player in Gas City, Indiana, and like all good Hoosiers, she was an avid sports fan. Following graduation from Madame Blaker's Teachers College, she taught third grade in Gas City.In 1937, she married Harold G. McKeever and moved to Muncie where she was a member of the Friends Church. In 1972, she and Harold retired and moved to Salt Lake City to be near their son, John.

Margaret is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John and Suzy McKeever, Denver; two brothers and their wives, William R. and Eleanor Spurgeon, Muncie, Indiana; James Phillip and Geraldine Spurgeon, Marion, Indiana.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Harold G. McKeever, and three brothers, John Webster Spurgeon, Toledo, Ohio; Albert Franklin Spurgeon, Marion, Indiana, David Gene Spurgeon, Gas City, Indiana.

Margaret was a caring and compassionate person whose greatest joy was children. Her love for children was shown in caring for five brothers, teaching elementary school, caring for her own family and those of neighbors and friends.

Those who wish to remember and honor Margaret are asked to love and help children.
