On Nov. 26, the Layton Wal-Mart donated a portion of their profits of sales between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. to Intermountain Organ Recovery System in Salt Lake City - a non-profit organ procurement organization that recovers vital organs for transplantation throughout the Intermountain area.

The majority of the monies received will be used to help IORS sponsor approximately 40 athletes who have received organ transplants to the Transplant Games in Atlanta, Ga., in August 1994.Everyone at Wal-Mart was terrific to work with, and their generosity is greatly appreciated. Having had the opportunity to work with Wal-Mart on other similar projects, I can say that they are a true neighbor and asset in the community. Thanks, Wal-Mart, you've made a number of people very happy.
