Floyd Lynn Nielsen, 79, passed away peacefully December 21, 1993 in West Valley City, Utah.

Born November 27, 1914 in Palmyra, Utah, to Andrew W. and Laura Johnson Nielsen. Married Grace E. Wendel, April 16, 1935 in Provo, Utah. Marriage later solemnized in the Provo LDS Temple.Floyd was an active High Priest in the Spencer First Ward. He retired after 43 years as a railroad engineer for Kennecott Copper Corp. He was president of the Magna Senior Citizens for eight years, and a past member of Magna's Mounted Riders. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing and camping at Little Reservoir in Beaver, Utah. He had a special love for animals. Floyd's children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were a joy to him throughout his life.

Survived by wife, daughters: Mrs. Neil (Dixie) Breeden and Mrs. Rodney (Noreen) Chapman, six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, a brother, Hollis W. Nielsen of Yuma, Arizona and a sister Mrs. George (Norma) Franks of Sebastopol, Calif. Preceded in death by parents and two sisters: Dorothy Searle and Jennie Verl Keefer.

Floyd's family is very thankful to the staff at the Hazen Rest Home for their kind and considerate care.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, 11 a.m. at the Spencer First Ward, 3084 So. 8400 West. Friends may call both Wednesday 6-8 p.m. and Thursday, 10-10:45 a.m. at the church.
