The NHL and its officials have finally resolved their differences.
Lingering issues from a 17-day strike by referees and linesmen which ended last month have been settled, the league and the officials announced Tuesday."Negotiators . . . have held a number of discussions in recent days regarding the issues of salary payments and air travel," the NHL said in a release. "As a result of those discussions, the NHL and NHLOA are pleased to announce that a negotiated resolution has been reached on both issues."
