Utah State football coach Charlie Weatherbie is going to be rewarded for the school's first winning season in over a decade with a new contract.
Negotiations began on the proposed four-year deal before Utah State's 42-33 bowl win over Ball State, according to John Lewandowski, assistant athletic director for media relations.Weatherbie had three years remaining on the old contract so this basically is a one-year extension, though there likely would be some restructuring of the other three years.
