A 15-year-old Kaysville girl struck by a car Tuesday morning while walking to school remained in critical condition Wednesday at LDS Hospital with head injuries.

Jill Roberts was struck by a car while walking along 100 South at 200 West about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to Kaysville police and LDS Hospital.Police said the driver of the car, a 16-year-old girl, told them she was eastbound on 100 South and was watching oncoming traffic and didn't see the pedestrian, who was walking along the edge of the street.

The victim was treated at the scene and then taken by air ambulance to LDS Hospital. Police said the incident is still under investigation and no citation has been issued.
