WALLYBALL. Alta Canyon Sports Center is starting a drop-in league for all levels of play. This is on-going event. Informal leagues on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. and Friday at 9 p.m. Free for members, $4 for non-members. Structured league on Saturdays and Wednesdays, with round-robin and double elimination tournaments every 6 weeks. STATE PARKS - For December: 16-30 at Iron Mission in Cedar City, Heritage Pioneer Country Christmas, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. A Christmas tree with handmade pioneer style decorations will be on display, along with pioneer oriented displays of arts and crafts by local artists. REI CLINICS - On Jan. 4, guides from Tag-A-Long Expeditions will present clinic on hut-to-hut skiing and other touring operations in the LaSals near Moab . . . Jan. 11, Alexis Kelner and Dave Hanscom, authors of Wasatch Tours, will present a short history of cross country skiing on the Wasatch along with an overview of where to go. They will also autograph copies of their new book . . . On Jan. 18, Pam Foyster will present a slide presentation and lecture on the prevention, basic diagnosis and treatment of frostbite, hypothermia - prevention, recognition and treatment . . . On Jan. 25, experts from the utah Avalanche Forecast Center will present an advanced avalanche clinic focusing on how to determine whether or not a slope is safe to ski or snowboard. DISABLE PROGRAMS. Salt Lake County Parks and Recreation is pleased to offer recreation and leisure experiences to individuals with physical and mental disabilities. Adapted programs are designed to meet the physical and social needs of each participant.
