PARENTING CLASS BEGINS JAN. 19 AT PRIMARY OUTPATIENT CLINIC

The Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Primary Children's Medical Center will offer a parenting class at its Murray Outpatient Clinic, 201 E. 5900 South, Suite 100, beginning on Wednesday, Jan. 19.

The six-week class meets from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and will focus on parenting skills such as behavioral management, effective communication, positive reinforcement and parent-child contracts. Facilitated by Dave McCone, the course will address the specific needs of the parents who attend.Class space is limited and the cost is $50, which includes a copy of the book, "SOS - Help for Parents."
