Young completed 17-of-23 passes for 354 yards and four touchdowns for NFC Player of the Week honors. Kevin Smith of Dallas won NFC defensive honors.The AFC offensive player was Gary Brown of Houston and the AFC defensive player was Nate Odomes. NFC and AFC special team honors went to Giants' Dave Meggett and Jeff Jaeger respectively.
