John T. Vaughan, 81, died December 22, 1993 of natural causes, at home after a long illness.
He was born May 6, 1912 in Salt Lake City to Thomas and Anastasia Walsh Vaughan. Married Maxine Catherine Reynolds on October 8, 1941. She preceded him in death in 1972.Retired district supervisor, Interstate Commerce Commission. Veteran World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. Member of the Catholic Church Cathedral of the Madeleine Parish and Knights of Columbus Council 602. John was an avid baseball fan.
Survived by son, Michael T. and daughter, Susan H., both of Salt Lake City; brothers, Rev. Lawrence S. Vaughan, Maryknoll, New York; Dennis V. Vaughan, San Francisco, Calif.; Daniel V. Vaughan, Sunnyvale, Calif.; sister-in-law, Veronica Vaughan, Salt Lake City.
Funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1993, 10 a.m. at the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 309 East South Temple. Vigil service will be held Mon., 7 p.m. at the Neil O'Donnell & Sons Mortuary, 372 East 100 So., where friends may call Monday 6-7 p.m. Committal Mount Calvary Cemetery, 4th Avenue and `T' Street.
