Ryan J. Beckstead, 32, passed away Monday, December 20, 1993 in a Las Vegas hospital of a heart attack.

He was born September 14, 1961 in Logan, Utah to Ashton and Ann Beckstead. Ryan attended schools in Cache Valley and graduated from Sky View High. He started his college education at Ricks College and finished with a BS degree at Utah State University in Logan. He went on to receive a masters degree from Westminster College in Salt Lake City. He married Jemmy Alban on July 2, 1988 in Salt Lake City. While completing his education he was employed by American Express.Ryan truly loved sports and playing basketball. Ryan and his wife have two daughters, Kiawna, 31/2 years, Thalia, 7 months. Ryan was best known for being a loving and devoted father and husband. The girls were the light of his life. Much of his time was devoted to playing and spending time with his girls. Ryan was a devoted son and brother to his family.

After graduation from Westminster College, he and his family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada to start his employment at Citibank where he was a Production Line Manager, which job he held until the time of his death.

Ryan is survived by his wife, Jemmy; two daughters, Kiawna and Thalia; his mother and father, Ashton and Ann Beckstead, Logan; brothers and sisters, Kelly Beckstead, American Fork; Terrie and Brad Vickers, Nephi; Julie and Kris Blauer, West Valley City; Darin and Kim Beckstead, Lewiston; Kurt and Amy Beckstead, Logan; Jeffery and Cicily Beckstead, Ogden; and many loving nieces and nephews. Ryan was preceded in death by his grandparents, one nephew, William (Billy) Ashton Vickers, Nephi.

Funeral services were held at Canyon Gate LDS Ward Chapel in Las Vegas on Thursday, December 23, 1993 at 2 p.m. under the direction of Bishop Jon Bunker. The interment will be at Palm Valley View Memorial Park, Las Vegas, Nevada.
