At its Dec. 14 meeting, the City Council:

- Granted final approval to Sandy Meadows subdivision, 15 lots at 450 N. 2000 West.
- Approved construction of a storm drain to connect with Edgehill Subdivision, Phase 9, 13 lots at 2425 W. 500 North, at a cost of about $15,000. Two more bids will be sought, with the mayor authorized to accept the low bid.
- Canceled the Dec. 28 City Council meeting.
- Approved an appeal by Lakepark Development, 11 condominiums, at approximately 250 N. 4000 West. The approval overturns a decision by the Planning Commission to stop the development because of a lack of green space and a narrow road. The council also agreed to accept the street as a public road.
- Tabled appointment of a city representative to the Mosquito Abatement Board until the Dec. 21 meeting.
- Tabled new appointments to the city's Planning Commission and Board of Adjustments, pending the mayor contacting prospective members to see if they would serve. Three Planning Commission seats and adjustments board positions are open.

- Set a public hearing for Tuesday, Feb. 8, 7 p.m. to discuss zoning changes such as having pigs as pets, rear setback changes and wider driveway approaches.
- Approved an easement agreement with Wayne Barton and Marriott Construction to allow for storm drain installation on 1500 West.
- Approved a subdividing plan by the LDS Church between 700 South and 1700 South and 2000 West and 2500 West so the church can sell excess land to a developer who wants to build a subdivision.
- Tabled awarding a new garbage collection contract, pending additional study of the bids.
