A day many of us in this country had hoped would never arrive is finally here. Constitutional rights (Second Amendment) have been infringed. It is particularly frightening when the media support, promote and applaud this infringement and when they parrot the phrase "we know it won't do much but it is a good first step."
I wonder if they will take the same "reasonable" attitude when someone decides that, in order to fight crime, we can no longer allow reporters to protect the confidentiality of sources, particularly when those sources have knowledge of criminal activity, or are involved in criminal activity, or are revealing information which might be damaging or embarrassing to the government or the country.I fear for the future of this country now that the media have become willing participants in the destruction of constitutional rights.
