Beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Vonda Crook Bateson, passed away December 23, 1993 at her home in Taylorsville....another victim of cancer.
Born September 2, 1929 in Smoot, Wyoming, daughter of Rulon J. and Rula Peterson Crook. Siblings include Enid Crossley, Smoot Wyoming; James Crook, Idaho Falls, Idaho; Cleta Crook, deceased. Vonda married Dix G. Bateson June 11, 1966 in Logan, Utah; later solemnized in the Jordan River LDS Temple.She was educated in Wyoming and Salt Lake City, where she attended South High School. For the past 17 years she was employed at the Salt Lake Surgical Center as an administrative secretary, where she made many friends and acquaintances over the years. Active member of the Taylors Grove LDS Ward.
Survived by husband, Dix, Taylorsville; sons, Bryan A. Lindberg (from first marriage) and his family, Orem; Bart Bateson and family, Idaho Falls, Id.; Brad Bateson and family, Smithfield; and six grandchildren.
The greatest joys she experienced in life were the joys of family. Her loving spirit will be missed.
Funeral services will be held Monday, 2 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, where friends and loved ones may call Sunday, 6-8 p.m. and Monday, one hour prior to services. Interment in the Utah Veterans Memorial Park.
